PURPOSE: Disclosed is a lightweight metallic molded part for casing body for portable electronic apparatuses or the like easily thickness-deviation-forming a boss, rib or the like and capable of mass-production by charging a rithium- containing magnesium alloy at least having a rithium beta phase structure to a molding die heated to a specified temperature range and executing forging. CONSTITUTION: A lithium-containing magnesium alloy at least having a lithium β-phase structure is charged to a molding die heated at 100 to 250 deg.C and is forged. Since this magnesium alloy hardly shows work hardening, the purpose can be attained. By controlling the content of lithium in the magnesium alloy to 6 to 10.5 wt.%, excellent corrosion resistance can be obtained Moreover, by incorporating the magnesium alloy with at least either less than 4 wt.% of zinc or more than or equal to 6 wt.% of aluminum, its strength can be improved. Furthermore, by preheating the magnesium alloy lower than or equal to 300 deg.c before its charging to the molding die, after the charging of the material, it can swiftly be molded.
