PURPOSE: A cathod ray tube is provided to make the design and installation of a contact spring easy, and to exclude a scratch on components during installation. CONSTITUTION: This cathode-ray tube has an inner magnetic shield (18) and at least one contact spring (28) installed on the shield (18). The shield (18) has a land (31) including an outer edge and an inner edge. The spring (28) has two parts; a cramp (42) mounted to the shield (18) at the land (31) and a contact leaf part (44). The clamp (42) has a hook (46) bent in the opposite direction on one end and a flat body (41) including a latch (48) and a fastener (43) on the other opposite end. The hook (46) is engaged with the outer edge of the land (31) and the latch (48) is engaged with the inner edge of the land (31). The fastener (43) includes an end part bent in an acute angle against the rest of the fastener (43). Then bent end part is arranged so as to be engaged with the inner edge of the land (31) when the spring (28) turns about the hook (46). The leaf part (44) is connected with the latch (48), and extends from the latch (48).
