PURPOSE: A switching power supply circuit is provided to provide effective and stable switching operation regardless of fluctuating factor such as exterior reset period or circuit condition using an SWA wave that is synchronizable to exterior. CONSTITUTION: A switching device(2) is for obtaining output of switch by switching the DC input. A smoothing circuit(3) smooths the switch output to obtain DC output. A desired value signal generating device generates the desired value signal. A PWM signal generating device(4) compares the desired value signal for controlling the DC output to a desired voltage with a carrier wave, and generates the PWM signal for controlling the switching device. A range definition signal generating device(8) generates the range definition signal(VM) for defining a level of the carrier wave(204) in order to obtain the PWM signal.
