PURPOSE: A hinge is provided to reduce the weight, the cost, the complexity and the package space of a check device of a door system of an automobile. CONSTITUTION: This door check device for an automobile has an array of a needle bearing(1) held in a contact condition by an elastic energy accumulation device(4) on a bearing surface having a groove directed in the longitudinal direction, a columnar cage concentrically adjacent to the bearing surface, and the cage has an array of slots directed in the axial direction to hold the needle bearing(1). This device has a means to transmit the rotational action to the columnar cage, and the means moves the needle bearing(1) with respect to the bearing surface so as to realize the torque reaction according to the displacement of the elastic energy accumulation device(4) when the needle bearing(1) enters/exits a groove, and this device has a means to transmit the transmitted torque into an appropriate structure from the bearing surface. |
