<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion pipe and a propulsion pipe joint thereof which can enhance the efficiency of entire propulsion construction work, which can cope with axial displacement and bending displacement caused by tension and compression at a joint during propulsion, which are excellent in sealability, and which are structurally simple. SOLUTION: This propulsion pipe 10 comprises a main pipe 11 and a sheath pipe 13 and a spigot ring 14 is attached to the outer surface of the main pipe 11 near a front end 12a by welding. A socket ring 15 is attached to the outer surface of the main pipe 11 near a rear end 12b. When the propulsion pipes 10 are applied to propulsion construction method, the spigot ring 14 of one of the propulsion pipes 10 is pressed into the socket ring 15 of the other of the propulsion pipes 10 and joined thereto inside a start side vertical shaft. Their junction is reinforced to be as strong as or stronger than the main pipe 11 to secure flexural rigidity and is not welded on its outer surface, so that the operation of joining a leading propulsion pipe with a following propulsion pipe and propelling them can be surely, easily and quickly performed without reducing the controllability of the direction of propulsion.</p> |
