<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent raindrops or dust from entering an automatic ticket examining machine from its ticket throw-in opening or such mischief that foreign matter is put in. SOLUTION: In front of the ticket throw-in opening 12, a ticket detecting means 32 is disposed which detects a medium C to be thrown in the ticket throw-in opening 12. According to the detection signal of this detecting means 32, a solenoid 36 is turned on and driven. Then a shutter 34 which is coupled with the solenoid 36 and closes the ticket throw-in opening 12 is placed in operation to open the ticket throw-in opening 12. The ticket throw-in opening 12 is closed with the shutter 32 by turning off the solenoid 36.</p> |
