PURPOSE: Provided is a low load seal exhibiting excellent sealing performance with low load to lengthen the service life of equipment. CONSTITUTION: An annular load seal(1) mounted in an annular dovetail groove(3) having an opening(4), a first side wall surface(5), a second side wall surface(6) and a bottom wall surface(7), is formed in trifurcated cross section having a first arcuate part(8), a second arcuate part(9) and a projecting part(12) and comprising a recessed part(10) provided between the first arcuate part(8) and second arcuate part(9) in corresponding to the bottom wall surface(7).
