PURPOSE: An electrical connector having guide pin joining means is provided to achieve double functions in which the guide pin guides the first and the second connectors, and at the same time, the guide pin connects the first and the second connectors. CONSTITUTION: This electrical connector includes the first connector(12) which has a housing(24) with a guide hole(50) in a joining side(32), the second connector(14) which has the guide pin(22) to be inserted in the guide hole(50) of the first connector(12), in order to guide the first and the second connectors(12, 14) to a connected condition, and the engaging section material(20) of the first connector(12) which engages to the engaging section of the guide pin(22), when the first and the second connectors(12, 14) are joined and kept under joined condition.
