PURPOSE: A method is provided for lengthening a low cycle fatigue life of a turbine nozzle provided with a plurality of stationary aerofoils extendedly provided between inner and outer ring segments in a radius direction. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of providing at least one radius direction passage (22) to each of a plurality of aerofoils, a step of mounting a rod (56) in the radius direction passage (22) extendedly located between inner and outer ring segments (16 and 14) in a radius direction to fix one end of the rod (56) to one of inner and outer rings, and a step of applying a preparatory load to the rod (56) to compress the aerofoils between the inner and the outer ring segments (16 and 14).
