PURPOSE: A diaphragm type clutch mechanism is provided to decrease the axial dimension of a diaphragm type clutch mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The diaphragm type clutch mechanism in particular suitable to automobile use has a cover(40) movable in rotating on an axis, a pressure plate(42) secured to the cover(40) and a reaction plate(24) for corotation with them, a diaphragm(44) secured to the cover(40) to apply axial thrust force to the pressure plate(42), and a through-hole(60) cut in the pressure plate(42) in axial alignment with means(46,48) for fixing the diaphragm(44) to the cover(40). The fixing means(46,48) are engaged in the through-hole(60) of the pressure plate(42). |
