摘要 The present invention relates to the field of nuclear energy, and in particular to a method for converting nuclear energy to thermal energy, and includes a device for its execution. The invention consists in provision and acceleration of a beam of relativistic ions, irradiation and fission by this beam of the atom nuclei of a deeply subcritical target, obtaining a flow of secondary particles, including neutrons, execution by these particles of the fission of the nuclei of the isotopes of the heavy chemical elements, during which the intra-nuclear energy is released, control of the state of the target with the magnitudes that ensure the transmission to the target of the kinetic energy of the beam and the flow of the secondary particles, and determination of the duration of accumulation and replacement of the fission products of the atom nuclei. The beam of the relativistic ions is accelerated to the energy, during which, by the decomposition of the material of the target, two or more generations of products of multi-decomposing fission of the atom nuclei are obtained, the intranuclear energy is released within this time period, which exceeds the duration of accumulation and replacement of the decomposition products by the material for irradiation. The flow of the secondary particles is recycled, while the irradiated material is cooled and sent for processing as material, to obtain materials for subsequent use. The invention ensures increase in the effectiveness of the conversion of nuclear energy to thermal energy, and recycling of the long-lived wide-ranking radionuclides, 4 independent claims, 13 figures, 1 table.
