<p>PURPOSE: Disclosed is an economically advantageous turbo compressor. CONSTITUTION: This turbo compressor(1) has an outward air-tight housing(6), in which an electric motor(2) and a multi-stage radial turbo compressor(3) are disposed on the common shaft(13). For journal bearing for the shaft(13), an electromagnetic radial bearing(5) is disposed separately in the direction of the range of the shaft(13), a gas seal(19) surrounding the shaft(13) is disposed between the electric motor(2) and the radial turbo compressor(3), and the electric motor(2) is sealed against the radial turbo compressor(3). In this turbo compressor(1), the electric motor(2) has internal spaces(9b,9c), and the internal spaces(9b,9c) are connected to an outlet opening(6h) in such a manner as to guide a fluid, and the outlet opening(6h,21) is passed through the housing(6).</p> |
