PURPOSE: A stable germicide agent composition is provided to obtain a dilute solution composition of 3-isothiazolone stable in such a manner that it can keep stability and does not form precipitates during storage. CONSTITUTION: The stable germicide agent comprises 0.1 to 5 weight percent of water-soluble 3-isothiazolone based on the weight of the composition, 0.0001 to 0.3 weight percent of one or more organic oxidants based on the weight of the composition, 0.0001 to 0.02 weight percent of a copper ion having a shape of a copper salt based on the weight of the composition, and water. The composition does not form brown precipitates at 40 deg.C for at least 12 weeks. The 3-isothiazolone consists of 5-chloro-2-methyl-3-isothiazole; 2-methyl-3-isothiazolone; 2-ethyl-3-isothiazolone; 5-chloro-2-ethyl-3-isothiazolone; 4,5-dichloro-2-methyl-3-isothiazolone; and the mixture thereof.
