PURPOSE: Disclosed is a highly efficient thermal ink-jet print head by using a supporting structure member and a resistor element of at least one metal silicon nitrogen oxide composition for discharging ink on an on-demand system. CONSTITUTION: The thermal ink-jet printing system has at least one supporting structure member, and a resistor element(86) for discharging ink which obtains sufficient heat to thermally discharge a near ink material from a print head and is arranged in the print head(80). The system includes a resistor structure comprised of a combination of one metal, silicon, oxygen and nitrogen set between the supporting structure member and a layer including an orifice of the print head(80). A resistor of the metal silicon nitrogen oxide produces a novel and effective ink discharge system applicable to a thermal ink-jet printer head. The resistor has many important characteristic merits one of which is increasing a bulk resistivity.
