The invention relates to a fan, comprising a fan wheel (11) with blades and an electromotor (12), said electromotor having a stator (13) and a rotor (16) which is mounted and rotationally fixed on an output shaft (21). The aim of the invention is to provide a fan of this type which is economical to produce, has a compact structure and is quiet. To this end, the rotor (16) is configured as an external rotor with a bell-shaped stator frame (17) covering the stator (13), and the fan wheel (11) is fixed to said stator frame (17) in such a way that is rotationally fixed, at least partially covers the stator frame (17) and touches the outer cover of the stator frame (17) in several places (29).
