A controller of AC generator for vehicle provided with a battery which is charged with the rectified output of an AC generator having a field coil, a voltage regulator which controls the output voltage of the AC generator to a prescribed value by controlling the field current flowing to the field coil, a pilot lamp which indicates the generating and nongenerating states of the AC generator, a pilot lamp driving means which turns on and off the pilot lamp, a power source driving means which drives the power source of the voltage regulator in synchronism with the lighting signal by the pilot lamp driving means, and a power source disconnecting means which disconnects the power source driving means by changing the lamp turning-on driving output to a grounding potential when the AC generator is shifted to a nongenerating state. |
