MICROSCOPE

PURPOSE: A microscope is provided which is capable of observing objects in horizontal direction even in a very narrow space and being fabricated at low cost. CONSTITUTION: A microscope(S) has a thin plate mirror(M). The width of the front end(M1) of the thin plate mirror becomes narrow. A mirror face(M2) is formed at the front end of the thin plate mirror at a sharp angle. The thin plate mirror is tapered to have the narrow end. The microscope further includes a means for receiving and emitting light. The mirror face is small-sized so that an object can be located at a point near to the front of the microscope. The distance between an opening through which the light is output and the object becomes shorter. Thus, the object can be effectively illuminated with high intensity of illumination.
