BACKWARD COMMON CHANNEL COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A backward common channel communication apparatus and method in a mobile communication system are provided to improve transmission performance of the common channel when a base station and a mobile communicate with each other through the common channel and to designate the base station to exclusively use the common channel of a specific mobile. CONSTITUTION: In case where a base station exclusively uses a backward common channel to transmit messages, when there is generated a message to which the base station must respond through the backward common channel, the backward common channel for receiving the response message as a dedicated channel. The base station generates dedicated channel designation parameters including information on the dedicated backward common channel and operation time, and then transmits the parameters together with messages. The base station receives the response message sent through the dedicated backward common channel.
