PURPOSE: To check gas blowoff in operation by making the gas absorbed to a structure in a cathode-ray tube absorb to a getter film, after getter flash by arranging a heating process for heating a funnel part of the cathode-ray tube between a getter flash process and an ageing process. CONSTITUTION: In a cathode-ray tube 1, after getter flash processing, a gas particle 33 floats in the cathode-ray tube 1. Gas particles 33 adsorbed chemically to a getter film 11 and gas particles 33 adsorbed physically in internal facing graphite 10, a grid 12 and a metal plate shield 13 being an internal electrical conductor other than the getter film 11 exists as the gas particle 33. Since the internal electrical conductor of the cathode-ray tube 1 is constituted to be heated, the gas particles 33 physically adsorbed to the members other than the getter film 11 are adsorbed chemically to the getter film 11 quickened in an adsorbing speed of the gas by the rise in temperature released in the cathode- ray tube 1 to reduce the gas blown off in an ageing processing and operation to improve characteristics.
