PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure and fixture for plate material capable of installing external wall materials easily without requiring any high skill and providing a high work efficiency. SOLUTION: A long frame 3 laterally in channel-section having a rear plate 31 with a pair of side plates 32 formed vertically in a base material 1 such as a building structural body from both ends thereof is fixed to a rear plate 31 in the state that the rear plate 31 is positioned on a bed member side 1 side, a U-shape opening part is faced to the outside, and the pair of side plates 32 are projected forward, and tongue parts 4a and 4b of an external wall material 4 are locked to plate material supporting lock parts 5b and 5d provided on a mounting clip installed in the channel-shaped section of the frame 3, and fixed to the bed member 1 with the rear surface of the external wall material 4 supported in contact with the tip edge of both side plates 32 of the frame 3.
