PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular article carrier device provided with a means for fixing a side rail to an installation support body in an invisible state of a fixing means when the side rail is strongly fixed to the installation support body. SOLUTION: Each most outer end of each side rail 12 is fixed to the related installation support member so that a fixed element can not be seen at all at the area where each most outer end of the side rail is installed to the installation support member. An installation plate 80 is arranged on oneside tube end of the side rail 12 so that the end of the installation plate 80 is engaged with a slot 76 facing each other formed on the most outer end of the side rail. The fixed element is inserted in the opening of an inner boss formed in the installation support member and screwed with the opening provided the thread of the installation plate 80. A fixing device can fix the installation plate 80. Therefore, the most outer end of the side rail is fixed to the installation support member so that the fixed member or installation plate 80 can not be seen when these two constitution elements are once fixed each other.
