PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a sealing member not visible to the naked eyes. SOLUTION: This device 17 comprises a pair of substrate members, a sealing member 18 to laminate the pair of substrate members at a specified distance on the region near the peripheral part of the substrate member, and a liquid crystal layer sealed in the space surrounded by the pair of substrate members and the sealing member 18. The liquid crystal layer is divided by the sealing member 18. The sealing member 18 has optical characteristics almost equivalent to those of the liquid crystal layer. Therefore, since the light transmitting through the liquid crystal display device 17 shows almost a similar behavior in the sealing member 18 and in the liquid crystal layer, the sealing member 18 is not apparently distinguished from the liquid crystal layer in the liquid crystal display device. Namely, the liquid crystal display device having the invisible sealing material 18 can be obtained. |
