PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plate-type heat exchanger, which requires no additional turbulent elements. SOLUTION: A plate-type heat exchanger is equipped with laminated plurality of plates 10, provided with upward peripheral rims 14 while the upward peripheral rims 14 are contacted closely with each other, so as to form a first flow passage for a first fluid F1 and a second flow passage for a second fluid F2. The upward peripheral rims 14 of respective plates 10 are substantially of flat-type and are formed so as to be slanted by an acute angleαof not less than 10 deg. with respect to the assembling direction or a laminating direction D. The plate-type heat exchanger is employed appropriately for the oil cooler of motorcar.
