SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing one or more benzotriazole-alkylenebisphenol compounds of the formula and one or more electric charge transferring agents each having an arylamino group in its molecule on the electrically conductive substrate. In the formula, X is H, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy or alkylaryl, R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or the like, R2 is H, alkyl or aryl and R3 and R4 may be the same or different and are each alkyl, cycloalkyl or the like.
