PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate, relatively inexpensive freezing detection sensor using a sensor element by a triangular prism. SOLUTION: The freezing detection sensor is composed of a plurality of sensor elements 3 where a light incidence part formed on one surface of a triangular prism is connected to light-emitting equipment 5, a light emission part formed on the other surface is connected to a discriminator 6, and the remaining one surface is set to a liquid-contact surface, and a rod-shaped retaining body 2, where the sensor elements 3 are provided at an equal interval in the retaining body 2.
