PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear projection type display device by which the miniatur ization of an entire apparatus and the reduction of adjusting processes are attained. SOLUTION: In this display apparatus, a projection optical engine on which a liquid crystal panel is mounted is installed in the inside, and video light projected by the projection optical engine is enlarged by an enlarging and projecting system, constituted of a plurality of curved surface reflection mirrors and is projected onto a screen surface. In this case, the projection optical engine is fixed to an apparatus main body, and the liquid crystal panel is attached to the projection optical engine through an adjusting mechanism so that the positional adjustment of the projector is executed by each liquid crystal panel adjusting mechanism 83.
