PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element capable of improving photoelectric conversion characteristics.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element is equipped with at least one photoelectric conversion cell. The photoelectric conversion cell is equipped with an electrode substrate, an opposite substrate opposing to the electrode substrate, an oxide semiconductor layer provided on the electrode substrate, an electrolyte provided between the electrode substrate and the opposite substrate, and an annular sealing portion for joining the electrode substrate and the opposite substrate. The oxide semiconductor layer has a body portion provided on the inner side of the sealing portion and on the electrode substrate, and extending straight from the electrode substrate toward the opposite substrate, and a projecting portion which projects out from the body portion to the sealing portion side, and does not contact with the electrode substrate. On a cross section in a thickness direction of the oxide semiconductor layer, the width of a second surface on the opposite substrate side of the oxide semiconductor layer is longer than the width of a first surface which is a boundary surface between the oxide semiconductor layer and the electrode substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
