PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a random number with periodicity. SOLUTION: This random number generating device is equipped with an A/D conversion part 1 which converts the image pickup signal outputted from an image pickup part 10 into a digital image, a memory 6 which stores the digital image in the form of pixel values, and a random number generation part 3 which extracts digital data from pixel values of multiple pixels in the digital image, stored in the memory 6, of the image pickup signal outputted in the absence of an object from the image picture part 10 and generates a random number from the digital data corresponding to the pixels. |
