PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and device for driving a plasma display by which data pulses for driving data electrodes in a PDP driving device can be driven in a short time with low power consumption and also a stable write-in discharge can be realized. SOLUTION: A data electrode group is divided into plural data electrode groups. A first data electrode group DX is provided with a data driver 9X connected to the first electrode group DX and a power source part 8X connected to the data driver 9X. Moreover, a constant-voltage power source VX consists of a constant-voltage power source VD and an electric charge recovering circuit 10X is provided with a capacitor CX whose capacity is larger than the electrostatic capacity of a plasma display panel. Furthermore, similar circuits are also provided in a second data electrode group DY. Thus, the recovering and the reusing of electric charges are performed by operating electric charge recovering circuits in different timing for every electrode group. |
