PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting display device of quick emission rising without increase in power consumption, by connecting all the anode and cathode lines to a prescribed reset potential when ending scanning of the cathode line 1 but before starting scanning the following cathode line, and changing over a drive switch of an anode line to select 'illumination' next to a charging power source side. SOLUTION: When the device has finished scanning a cathode line K1 but before it starts scanning the following anode line K2, all the anode lines AR.i, AG.i, AB.i (1<=i<=M) and all the cathode lines K1-KN are connected to a prescribed potential and short-circuited, and a reset operation is carried out for drawing out the charges accumulated in each light emitting element of a light emitting panel. Further, as a next step, while keeping all the cathode lines K1-KN connected with a reverse bias power source VK, the drive switches of the anode lines to be selected for 'illumination' in the scanning period of the next scanning line are changed over to a charging power source side. |
