PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve yield and sealing performance and thereby provide an inexpensive secondary battery allowing high productivity by forming a part in a power generation element with a gel electrolyte having high electrolytic solution retaining capability and by welding and sealing the whole peripheral part of a package nearly at the same time. SOLUTION: Drawing is carried out to a laminate film 1 cut into a predetermined size, a gel electrolyte is applied to the surface of a separator to be abutted on a positive electrode plate 6 and a negative electrode terminal 11, and an electrode group composed by stacking or rolling the separator, the positive electrode plate 6 and a negative electrode plate 7 is connected to a positive electrode terminal 12 and a negative electrode terminal 11. The electrode group 9 is mounted on a drawn laminate film, the laminate film 1 cut into the predetermined size is stacked from the upper side and sealed, and an atmosphere is decompressed. The need of a large-scale facility is obviated by setting a predetermined air pressure to, for instance, 0.5 atm. or below, and a time required for the decompression is reduced to shorten the cycle time of a manufacturing line, so that workability and productivity are improved. A package is formed by welding and sealing a peripheral part 13 nearly at the same time after the decompression. |
