PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the operability of a stick switch and to reduce the size of the stick switch. SOLUTION: This knob 2 is provided with a recess 4 into which a tip part of a stick of a stick switch is inserted, a skirt part 6 extending with the recess 4 as a center, and a protrusion 8 formed at the center of the skirt part 6 on the opposite side of the recess 4. A top surface 8A of the protruded part 8 is formed as a recessed surface shape, and four grooves 8B are formed near intersection points between imaginary crossing lines 9 and an edge of the top surface 8A. Since the top surface 8A is formed in a recessed surface shape, the shape of the edge is sharp, and the edge of the top surface tends to get stuck on the finger cushion. The finger cushion comes in close contact with the top surface of the protrusion 8 in a recessed surface shape, and the finger cushion digs into the individual grooves 8B. This increases the operability of the knob 2 largely. As the result, the knob 2 with a reduced height still provides an excellent operability, and has an advantage in reducing the size of a mobile portable terminal. The touch of the grooves 8b allows recognizing a tilting direction of the switch.
