PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery capable of efficiently relaxing retention of a negative electrode, free of rapid change of the capacity, and causing less loss of a positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: The negative electrode active material of a lithium secondary battery is formed out of a first material consisting of at least one of the carbonic substance, Sn, Sn alloy, Sn oxide, Al, Al alloy, Pb. Pb alloy, Si and Si oxide, and a second material consisting of lithium nitride expressed by Li3-xMxN, where M is at least one of the transition metals and the condition 0<x<=0.7 should be met. Adoption of Sn series substance to the first component of negative electrode active material gives a still larger capacity to the resultant battery. |
