PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at making a bore smaller and improving heating capacity, by improving the flame holding properties of an overhung radiant tube that is provided with a gas burner in an inner tube. SOLUTION: A main flame holding plate 7 and an auxiliary flame holding plate 8 are provided on the outer peripheral surfaces of nozzle tips of a gas burner 2 before and after at an interval, and flame holding holes 9 and 10 are bored in the intermediate point between both flame holding plates 7 and 8 and in the surrounding wall of the nozzle in front of the main flame holding plate 7, respectively, perpendicularly to the axis of the nozzle. A main flame hole 11 facing obliquely outward is bored between the front flame holding hole 9 and the main flame holding plate 7.
