PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image processing method and device capable of making restriction of an installation position of the device small, executing a high-speed operation, and measuring a speed and a length of a moving object with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A plurality of line sensor cameras having photographing axes in parallel to each other, are used. A time series image data A picked up by the line sensor camera A is divided into strips of image (step 401), a moving time is determined by allowing each strip of image to correspond to a time series image data B of the line sensor camera B (step 402), a moving time of each strip of image and a moving distance corresponding thereto are determined to determine a moving speed (step 403), the similarity is determined by correcting the time series image data and a template of a specific pattern of a wheel or the like on the basis of the moving speed, and fitting the same to a scale (step 404), and the specified shape pattern is recognized by processing the similarity with a threshold value to recognize a moving vehicle (step 406). |
