PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the displacement of a focusing position of an optical system in accompany with the change of a temperature and to keep the high optical performance in an optical instrument consisting of an optical system including a group of moving lenses. SOLUTION: This optical instrument comprises a driving means for driving a group of moving lenses, a control means 18 for controlling the driving means, a measuring means for measuring the movable stroke of the group of moving lenses, and a storing means 17 for storing the control information including the movable stroke. The control means 18 corrects the fluctuation of a focusing position of an optical system in accompany with the change of a temperature by controlling the driving means on the basis of the control information.
