PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching and detaching device for an operation member wherein the number of parts constituting the mechanism holding the operation member to an equipment main body and the mechanism for protruding the operation member when holding is released is reduced and also both mechanism are efficiently arranged within a narrow space. SOLUTION: Although a protruding member 35 is turned counterclockwise when an operation member 20 is attached to an equipment main body 10, the torsional quantity of a torsion spring is increased in accordance with the increase of the turning quantity, energizing force in the (iv) direction imparted to a lock member 31 becomes gradually large. Thus, resistant force receiving from the lock member 31 is relatively weak at the middle of attaching the operation member 20, the lock member 20 is surely held by the lock member 31 when attaching is completed.
