PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device, which can easily have optimum operation characteristics, even when the substrate is replaced. SOLUTION: This drive is equipped with a motor control part 6, a signal detection part 8 which detects a signal from a photodetecting element, a focus control part 9, a tracking control part 10, and a memory 11 wherein parameters are recorded, and the respective control parts perform control operation by reading the parameters out of the memory 11. The memory 11 is composed of a nonvolatile readable and writable memory, and the drive is equipped with interface parts 12 and 14 which output the parameters to the memory 11 and inputs them, a switch 13 which indicates the reading, writing, and normal operation of the memory 11, and a control means 15, which reads the parameters out of or to the memory 11 and inputs and outputs them from the interface parts 12 and 14, according to the indication of the switch 13.
