PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent plays of a brush holder based on alleviation of stress and improve reliability in mounting of brush holder, by forming a metal piece with a plate embedded in a brush holder and a bending fixed piece projected integrally at the one end surface of such an embedded plate. SOLUTION: A metal piece 23 is formed of a plate 23A embedded in a brush holder 12 and a fixed piece 23B projected integrally from the center of one end surface 30 of such plate 23A. The projected end, projected from an engaging hole 16 of the fixed piece 23B, is bent almost at right angles and is then closely placed in contact with the surface of a cover 3 to fix the brush holder 12 to the cover 3. As a result, one end surface 30 of the metal piece 23 and the fixed piece 23B hold the cover 3, and therefore a gap will not be generated between the cover 3 and the fixed piece 23B or one end surface thereof. Accordingly, plays of the brush holder 12 due to relaxation of stress can be prevented.
