PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a yield by providing a flat capacitor element wherein separators are laminated zigzag on both surfaces of a long cathode foil while a positive body is arranged between separators. SOLUTION: Related to a capacitor element 1, separators 3 are laminated on both surfaces of a long negative foil 2 formed zigzag, with a positive body 4 arranged between the separators 3. The negative foil 2 comprises an etched aluminum foil, with a tab-like negative terminal 5 connected to one end of it in lengthwise direction. The positive body 4 comprises positive foils 6 and 7 laminated. The positive foil 6 is a square foil wherein an aluminum foil is etched to form a tunnel-like through pit, with an oxide film formed, while a tab-like positive terminal 8 is drawn out on its corner. The positive foil 7 is also provided with a notch part 9 at its corner by the same way. The positive foils 6 and 7 are arranged at the notch 9 of the positive terminal 8 while laminated together to form one body, which is sealed up in a case 10.
