PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet for a permanent magnet motor, having advantages of both a ring-shaped magnet to be mounted accurately in simple steps, and a segment magnet having a uniform magnetic characteristic over each entire pole, and to provide a molding device for molding the magnet surely with good productivity. SOLUTION: Magnetic pole parts 19 and 20 of 2n poles, where n is one or more integer, with an arc shape in plane view are interposed between each other through jointing parts 21 and 22 with an arc shape in plane view to form a ring-shaped unified body. Each magnetic pole part 19 or 20 is made by compressing magnetic powder 39, while each jointing part 21 or 22 is made by pressure molding a binder powder 41.
