PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing optical disks formed by bonding two substrates, which eliminate the need for cooling and leaving the substrates for a long time, in order to remove an internal stresses. SOLUTION: When the temperature of a disc-shaped substrate decreases immediately after the substrate is molded of a resin, a moderate warm air is blown against the front and rear faces of the molded substrate, or the substrate is heat insulated and thereby eliminating a temperature difference between the front and rear faces of the substrate. The substrate is slow cooled to the environment temperature by a predetermined temperature drop rate. Blowing warm air or heat insulating and cross holding the substrate controls to slowly cool with a temperature difference provided between the front and rear faces of the substrate, or the like. The manufacturing apparatus consists of a slow cooling part 20 for heat insulating and slowly cooling the front and rear faces of the substrate immediately after being molded, a heat source part 30 for generating heat, and a control part 40 for controlling the heat source. The slow cooling part 20 is composed of a warm air block 21 with a plurality of warm air blow ports 23 for blowing warm air onto the substrate 1, or a hot heat block 27 in which a heater for heat insulating and cross holding the substrate is embedded.
