PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber holding device which can stably detect a trespass on a monitor area with high precision from polarization variation. SOLUTION: A detection line 31 is held by being held between a detection line guide and a mandrel 12. When an external force is applied to the detection line 31, the detection line 31 slides down on a slanting surface 12a toward a lid 21 to push the lid 21. Consequently, a claw 21a and an anchor 10a are disengaged from each other and the lid 21 is rotated on a rotary shaft 11 and opened. The detection line 31 falls and the light propagated in the optical fiber put in the detection line 31 has polarization variation.
