PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral conveyer type drying apparatus which is facilitated in combination with another device and short in the total length of the drying line. SOLUTION: A spiral conveyer type drying apparatus is provided with a spiral conveyer 1, equipped with spiral vanes 2 with or without a shafts and a trough 3 for rotatably receiving the spiral vane 2, a box-type gravity settling chamber 5, established above the spiral conveyer, a box-type pressurizing chamber 6, established below the spiral conveyer, a hot air means for pressurizing and supplying hot air into the pressurizing chamber 6, a charging port 8, provided at the upstream side terminal unit of the spiral conveyer 1 or on the gravity settling chamber 5 above the spiral conveyer 1, and a take-out port 9, provided at the downstream side terminal unit of the spiral conveyer 1. In such a drying apparatus, one or more sets of nozzles 7 which blow air in the pressurizing chamber 6 into the trough 3 in the rotating direction as well as the tangential direction of the spiral vane 2, are provided.
