PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disable a recipient to confirm the contents of received transmission data as long as a transmitter does not receive information proofing the reception of the transmission data from the recipient when distributing data through a network in an electronic data distribution system. SOLUTION: When a data transmitting server 10 sends the transmission data enciphered by using a cryptographic key 14, a recipient terminal 20 receives these data, preserves them in a temporary data preserving area 24, deciphers the transmission data while using a decipher key 26, which is integrated by a method unknown for the recipient, generates an electronic signature corresponding to these data and returns it as a receipt through a receipt returning means 22. When the receipt is confirmed, the data transmitting server 10 sends a receipt reception confirmation notice to the recipient terminal 20. After the receipt reception confirmation notice is received, the recipient terminal 20 deciphers the enciphered transmission data while using the decipher key 26 again and preserves these data in a transmission data preserving area 25 so that the recipient can confirm the contents. |
