PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a gas laser oscillator, whose downsizing is made possible and in which high output can be obtained, without having enlarge to the bore of a laser tube. SOLUTION: An upstream electrode 2, arranged upstream of the laser gas flowing within a laser tube 4, is arranged at the connection between a laser tube 4 and a feed pipe 1, apart from the optical axis of the laser, and also the bore (diameter of a through-hole) on the upstream electrode 2 is made smaller than the bore of the laser tube 4. Since the bore of the upstream electrode 2 is made smaller than the bore of the laser tube 4, the velocity of the laser gas becomes high, when passing through the upstream electrode 2, the injected power increases, and high output can be obtained. Since the upstream electrode 2 is not arranged on the optical axis of the laser, the main body of the resonator can be shortened, and the device can be made small in size. |
