PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a device by arranging a 1st condensing lens, a color wheel obtained by forming plural color filters to be rotatable and a 2nd condensing lens in the order between a light source part and a 1st lens array. SOLUTION: An illumination optical system 100D is constituted with the light source part 110, a 1st condenser lens 120, the color wheel 130, a 2nd condenser lens 140, the 1st lens array 150D, a 2nd lens array 160D and a superimposing lens 170 an arranged along a center axis 100Dax in this order. Then, a light from the light source 110 is condensed near the wheel 130 by the lens 120 in order to make a light spot irradiated at the wheel 130 small. The wheel 130 is constituted with three transmission type color filters being formed in three fan-shaped areas divided in the rotating direction. Also, the light transmitted through the wheel 130 is condensed by the lens 140 so as to be made incident on the array 150D. |
