PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain surface roughness accuracy of a thrust receiving surface by performing a surface collapse finish for the thrust receiving surface by plastic deformation. SOLUTION: A thrust receiving plate 2 is constrained in outside diameter by a die 53 in the radial direction, and a thrust receiving surface 20 and a mounting surface are constrained in the axial direction by a sub-punch 52 and a counter pin 51. A center part of an end face 22 to be an opposite side end face of the thrust receiving surface 20 is pushed by a punch 50 and acts so as to perform plastic flow for the material in the direction of the thrust receiving surface 20. Therefore, a smooth surface finish by plastic deformation can be performed for a tool mark generated on the thrust receiving surface 20 by a cutting, more particularly, recessed and projecting parts existing at a center part constituting the thrust bearing in contact with a spherical tip part 40 of a shaft 1 according to a pin end face 54 of the counter pin 51.
