PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control generation of descriptive information of dimension generation or the like with respect to generation of a 2-D view of a computer defined graphical model such as a 3-D model. SOLUTION: In an option (911) to select generation in a semi-automatic mode, a user can interrupt generation to correct data transferred to a 2-D view from a 3-D model. Manual control of generation of dimensions and constraints is presented to the user (915) to advance a process from one step to the next under the control of the user. Operation in the semi-automatic mode gives a pause in the generation process (921). During the pause, the user can correct draw data (922) or can stop the process for the purpose of executing another task (925). Without an interruption, the system can advance to the next item of draw data.
