PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication line interrupting device for preventing the use of a telephone line such as automatic calling at an improper time. SOLUTION: In this communication line interrupting device, an external time obtaining part 16 obtains a present time from a time signal service, and a line opening and closure controlling part 14 interrupts a telephone line 40 by a line opening and closing part 30 only in an interrupted time zone set by an interrupted time zone recording table 17a based on the obtained time. Therefore, even when the telephone line 40 is about to be used (for example, automatically calling) in at improper time due to the failure or time adjustment error of a clock incorporated in a computer 60, it is possible to prevent the telephone line from being used at the improper time since the telephone line 40 is interrupted.
